Acceptance of nominations for Delagate to 28th Constitutional Convention

Rules:
1. All members of Local 598, UAW, in GOOD STANDING, and in compliance with the UAW International Union Constitution (Article 8, Section 11) and Local 598 Bylaws, stand nominated.
2. Those desiring to accept the nomination must do so by completing and submitting the acceptance form at the Local 598 Union Hall, G-3293 Van Slyke Rd, Flint, MI.
Nominations will be accepted: Monday, May 9th, 2022, Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, and Wednesday, May 11th, 2022.
Time: 6:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Place: Local 598 Union Hall, G-3293 Van Slyke Rd, Flint, MI. 48507
To accept the nomination by mail, you must send a registered letter to the Election Committee, Local 598, UAW, P.O. Box #7800 Flint, MI. 48507.
It must be received no earlier than Monday, May 9th, 2022, at 6:30 and no later than Wednesday, May 11th, 2022, by 3:30 P.M. This registered letter must specify delegate or alternate delegate whichever nomination is being accepted. Your name must be PRINTED as you wish it to appear on the ballot, with your signature, complete address, and GMIN.
Election for Seven (7) Delegates and Three (3) Alternate Delegates to the 38th UAW Constitutional Convention will be held:
Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, until Thursday, June 9th, 2022, at the North Unit Gym Area in the Main Plant, Trim Shop, Paint Shop Cafeteria, Body Shop Cafeteria, and at the Local 598 Union Hall, G-3293 Van Slyke Rd, Flint, MI.
Polls will be open at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, and will remain open until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9th, 2022.
Note: Only members in Good Standing will be eligible to vote. Voting will be by secret ballot. You must have a picture I.D. and provide your GMIN to vote.
Retirees and members on Leaves of Absence may vote at the Local 598 Union Hall.
