Acceptance of Nominations & Elections  - MPS UNIT COMMITTEEPERSON (CHAIR) PERSON AND

ALTERNATE - 1ST SHIFT and COMMITTEEPERSON AND ALTERNATE - 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT

Rules:

  1. All members of Local 598, UAW, who have been in continuous good standing with Local 598 for one (1) year immediately prior to Election and are presently assigned to the Unit in which they wish to represent, stand nominated. (Article 38, Section 3&4 – UAW Constitution and Article 12 Section 3 of the UAW Local 598 By-Laws.)

 

  1. Those desiring to accept nomination must do so by completing and submitting the acceptance form at the Local 598 Union Hall, G-3293 Van Slyke Rd, Flint, MI. 48507

 

Nominations will be accepted:

             Monday, February 14, 2022, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, and Wednesday, February 16, 2022.   

                                    Time: 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

                                    Place: Local 598 Union Hall, G-3293 Van Slyke Rd, Flint, MI. 48507

 

To accept nomination by mail, you must send a registered letter to the

Election Committee, Local 598, UAW, P.O. Box #7800   Flint, MI. 48507. 

It must be received no earlier than Monday, February 14, 2022, at 6:00 A.M., and no later than Wednesday, February 16, 2022, by 4:00 P.M.  This registered letter must specify the office for which nomination is being accepted. Your name must be PRINTED as you wish it to appear on the ballot, your signature, YOUR DISTRICT, complete address, and GMIN#.

             Election for all mps shifts – Committeeperson and Alternate will be held                      

    

Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the Local 598 Union Hall, G-3293 Van Slyke Rd, Flint, MI 48507

Polls open at 6:00 a.m. and close at midnight.

 

Any Runoff Elections will be at the Local 598 Union Hall, G-3293 Van Slyke Rd, Flint, MI. 48507 

Polls open at 6:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 29, and will remain open until midnight.

 Note: Only Members in Good Standing will be eligible to vote. Voting will be by secret ballot. You must have a picture I.D. and provide your GMIN#.  All members may vote at the Local 598 Union Hall.
